Unity of Richmond Building Transformation, Stage I: Dream
Many individuals at Unity of Richmond share the same dream: to expand our Spritual Home and transform it into a delightful space-- a space that is even more welcoming and capable of accommodating multiple activities simultaneously.
To that end, our Board of Trustees, with support from Ronnie Russell and Dawn Flores (Spiritual Home Design Team), is initiating Stage I of this new adventure: making that dream a reality. We're just beginning to investigate possibilities - perhaps adding another floor to the building, expanding on the French Street side, or other options.
The Building Expansion Goals:
- Solve existing space issues
- Expand our sanctuary and classroom capacity
- Upgrade the experience for adults and youth with audio and visual equipment
- Increase programming opportunities with better designed space for Classes, Theatrical Productions, Sunday Services, Special Services and Youth Events
- Improve building access for the physically challenged
- Enhance our presence and visibility in the community to be a physical, as well as spiritual, beacon of light!
